Internet Tips: How to Take Screenshot of Whole Website [Web Screen Capture]

Update: I’ve written about a similar program called WebShot last time but the link seems to be infected by a virus. I’ve actually removed the post. The freeware that I wrote in this post is recently tested [January 2012] and it is clean. The only drawback that I notice is that it has some kind of rendering issues. On certain webpage, the html or css property is not properly processed so the website will appear a bit off.

That said, it still delivers. You can see the screenshot of this particular post below.

I did mention about capturing screenshot for a whole website some time ago and there was not much of alternative solution back then. Here I found another freebie that has the same capabilities as WebShot; Web Screen Capture. It is almost similar to WebShot in many regards.

This little software is about 900kb and it doesn’t require any installation. You just need to download and run it right away. Key in the URL page that you intend to take screenshot for, wait until the page is completely loaded and hit the “Screen Capture” button.

Web Screen Capture

  • Full size screenshots of website pages
  • Supports JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP formats
  • Supports command line usage
  • Batch convert is supported
  • Simple, easy-to-use and very fast .
  • It is a freeware!

If you guys know of any similar programs please let me know. Like I said, it does the job but it won’t work on every page because of the rendering problem.
